1. Summary of work to be allocated into a specific WG 2

A systems biology approach is used to investigate the role of SUMO conjugates in abiotic stress signaling pathways.

The work is also linked with WG1.7, WG1.6 WG1.1

3. Specific activities to be integrated into WG and/or Subgroubs

The techniques of both expression and interaction proteomics are used to analyse SUMOproteome.

4. Qualification for the role and current grants

S Mauro is senior scientiste at the Département Biotechnologie, Centre Wallon de Recherches Agronomiques.

5. Technical expertise and facilities

Experience required to resolve (2D PAGE, DIGE technology) and identify (MALDI, LCMSMS: Facultés Universitaires Notre Dame de la Paix, Namur Belgique) proteins of complex mixtures. Experience on plant tissue and cell culture and molecular biological techniques, including, gene cloning and characterization of recombinant proteins, plant transformation, yeast two-hybrid screens, etc..
